Currently 19 Halal Restaurants in Saigon

Halal in Ho Chi Minh City

The original list of halal restaurants for Saigon was over 50 in 2010. HCMC currently has 19 restaurants that are halal for Muslims listed at GoHALALVietnam.

How we verified the halal restaurants

All restaurants listed serve certified halal meat. None of the restaurants serve non-halal meat. Some are vegan or vegetarian. Below are restaurants located in District 1, District 2 (Thao Dien Ward), District 5, and Phu Nhuan District. The list of halal restaurants for Ho Chi Minh City is verified by the local Vietnamese Muslim and Expatriate Muslim communities.

How do I know if a restaurant is halal?

Some restaurants claiming they are halal use their meat vendor's halal certificate as proof of halal assurance. Check the wall where the halal certificate is located. For a restaurant to be halal certified in Vietnam, the name and address must be included on the certificate (and expiration date for next inspection). Always ask to see a restaurant's halal certfication if needed.

GoHALALVietnam log

Update: With the increase of tourists from Malaysia and the Middle East, restaurants are again misleading customers about their halal certification. A halal certified restaurant will always show you their valid halal certificate.
